Q: What levels of curlers do you coach?
A: We coach curlers of all levels — from beginners learning the basics to experienced players looking to refine technique and strategy.

Q: Do I need my own equipment to take a session?
A: You’ll need shoes suitable for curling. Other equipment can often be provided depending on the session.

Q: How do I book a session?
A: Simply click on the service you wish to book, and you’ll be directed to our booking site to reserve any of our available sessions.

Q: Where are the coaching sessions held?
A: Sessions are held at Winchester Curling Club or Metcalfe Curling Club.

Q: Can I take just one session, or do I need a package?
A: Sessions can be booked individually. The only package option is a 3-pack of 50-minute Skill Development Sessions.


Sessions & Services

Q: What’s the difference between 1-on-1, semi-private, and team sessions?
A:

  • 1-on-1: Private coaching between coach and player.
  • Semi-private: Groups of 2–4 players working together.
  • Team: Focused on improving strategy, communication, and performance for an entire team.

Q: How long is each session?
A: Sessions are available in 25-minute, 50-minute, or 110-minute options, depending on the session type.

Q: Can semi-private sessions include friends or teammates?
A: Yes, but scheduling and participation are the responsibility of the person booking the session.

Q: Do you provide video analysis during coaching?
A: Video analysis can be offered during sessions to provide detailed feedback on technique and strategy.

Q: Can coaching help me prepare for competitions?
A: Absolutely! Coaching can provide tools and strategies to help you do gooder in competitions or weekly games. Contact us to see how we can help.


Pricing & Policies

Q: What are the session rates?
A: Rates depend on the session type. For detailed pricing, please select and book a session on our site.

Q: Do you offer discounts for multiple sessions or teams?
A: Discounts can be arranged for bookings of three or more sessions.

Q: What is your cancellation/rescheduling policy?
A: We ask for at least 12 hours’ notice for cancellations. We understand that life happens, but this allows us to offer coaching to others who may be waiting for a spot.


Skill & Improvement

Q: Will I see improvement if I’m a beginner?
A: Yes! Improvement takes time, and everyone will go through a learning curve. Beginners often see rapid progress as they build strong foundational skills from scratch.

Q: Do you help with strategy as well as technique?
A: Definitely. We focus on shot selection, understanding why misses happen, and evaluating difficulty to help curlers make smarter choices on the ice.

Q: Can you help my team improve communication on the ice?
A: Yes! A combination of on-ice and off-ice sessions can help teams build better communication habits and improve teamwork.
